Recent Reviews of The Immune by Doc Lucky Meisenheimer

October 28, 2011 Leave a comment

The reviews for Doc Lucky’s sci fi thriller, THE IMMUNE, keep pouring in from book reviewers and bloggers across the world.

Here are some recent quotes from a variety of book reviews:
“Meisenheimer uses his extensive knowledge as a champion swimmer and his medical background to delve deeply into the world he creates, bringing the characters and the threats to life. His style of writing moves quickly, but doesn’t lack in details which enable the reader to vividly see the events as they unfold. Keeping you on edge and just when you think you’ve got it figured out, he swings in with a twist and throws you right back to the edge of your seat.”
– Amanda Perkins, The Urban Bachelorette

“The Immune is a riveting read of science fiction, highly recommended.”
– James Cox, Midwest Book Review

“The Immune reads like a movie that keeps you guessing until the very end. It could easily be a huge, blockbuster, big screen thriller someday. If you are going to pursue liberty, you might as well have fun doing it. That’s what reading The Immune is all about. I can’t recommend it enough. Add it to your reading list now. You’ll thank me later.”
– Marc Gallagher, Liberty Maven

“The Immune pulls no punches in its critical assessment of the zealous overregulation of domestic and world governing organizations…every moment is a calculated thrill-ride, rife with unexpected stops and drops. …Meisenheimer earns his wings by telling a great story and spreading the message of personal liberty in earnest. The Immune emerges as a worthy read to audiences of varied stripes, and I suspect there it shall remain.”
– Alex Wall, WeMerge Magazine

“This cheeky, irreverent, delightfully un-p.c. story should be a must-read for every person in this country who doesn’t appreciate the liberty they so blithely enjoy every day. … It’s a deliciously wicked commentary on our current political culture gone world-power-mad.”
– R. Bartel, Atlas Distribution Blog

The Midwest Book Review Highlights The Immune

October 18, 2011 Leave a comment

Doc Lucky Meisenheimer received yet another glowing review for his sci fi thriller, The Immune, by James Cox in The Midwest Book Review:

“The task of protecting humanity is not easily done. The Immune follows the crisis of humanity as biological weapons threaten them. A few humans are immune to the stings of the biowars, being chosen as defenders against them. But even when the fate of the species lies on their shoulders, pettiness and politics strike out in force. The Immune is a riveting read of science fiction, highly recommended.”

The review appears in the October 2011 issue of The Midwest Book Review’s online book review magazine entitled, “Internet Bookwatch.” It has also been posted with the Cengage Learning, Gale interactive CD-ROM series “Book Review Index” which is published for academic, corporate, and public library systems. Additionally, the review will be archived on the Midwest Book Review website at
